Get Involved

Help us put an end to domestic, intimate partner, and sexual violence in our community.

Monetary Donations

As a small non-profit, we rely on the generosity of individuals and organizations. 100% of your donation is used in support of our mission to serve victims of domestic, intimate partner, and sexual violence, and to promote safe, respectful and loving relationships in our community. Donations can be made by check or through PayPal.

In-Kind Donations

Donations of items for our shelter are appreciated. To best meet the needs of our residents, please consider these commonly needed items:

  • Clorox wipes
  • Aluminum Foil
  • Plastic wrap
  • Baggies
  • Disposable plates, cups and plasticware
  • Paper towels, toilet paper and tissues
  • New sheets, blankets, towels and pillows
  • New underclothes and nightwear
  • Laundry and dishwasher detergent
  • New children’s toys
  • Gift cards for gasoline, restaurants, entertainment or supermarkets

Please note that due to health and safety considerations, New Directions does not accept these used items: clothes, bedding, and toys with fabric (for example, stuffed animals). Also, because New Directions is a small shelter with limited storage space, the following new items are limited in quantity: clothing, bedding (including blankets), and personal care items. All donations not accepted by New Directions are referred to Interchurch or other similar organizations.

New Directions sponsors and hosts events throughout the year. Please join us at an upcoming event.

There are many ways to get involved with New Directions as a volunteer. Join the DELTA FOCUS Committee, provide childcare for our residents, or help out with maintenance or yard work at our location. Consider serving as a member on our Board of Directors or organizing awareness or fundraising events.

How can you lend your talents to the important work of eliminating domestic, sexual, and intimate partner violence? Send us a message below for more information about volunteer opportunities.
